Refund Policy
1. No Refund Policy
Juris Services & Technology operates a strict no-refund policy for all products and services available on the Lawtext platform, including but not limited to:
- Monthly, quarterly, and annual subscription plans
- Recurring (auto-renewal) subscription charges
- One-time judgment PDF downloads
- Any other paid service or feature on the platform
Once a payment is successfully processed, it is non-refundable under any circumstances, including but not limited to: change of mind, accidental purchase, non-usage of the subscription, dissatisfaction with content, or any technical issue on your end.
2. Subscription Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time by logging into your account and using the cancellation option in your subscription dashboard. Upon cancellation:
- Your subscription will remain active and accessible until the end of the current paid billing period.
- No further automatic charges will be made after the current billing cycle ends.
- No refund will be issued for any remaining unused days in the current billing period.
- You will lose access to premium features when the current period expires.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Cancelling your subscription does not entitle you to a refund of any fees already paid.
3. Recurring (Auto-Renewal) Subscriptions
Recurring subscription plans are billed automatically at each renewal cycle via Cashfree's payment mandate system. By subscribing to a recurring plan, you authorise these periodic charges. If you do not wish to be charged for the next cycle, you must cancel your recurring subscription before the renewal date. Charges that have already been processed for a new cycle are non-refundable.
4. One-Time Downloads
Payments made for one-time judgment PDF downloads are non-refundable. Download links are generated immediately upon payment and are valid for 24 hours. Once a download link is issued, no refund will be provided regardless of whether the file was downloaded.
5. No Exceptions
We do not offer refunds under any exceptional circumstances, including:
- Accidental or duplicate payments
- Failure to cancel before an automatic renewal
- Dissatisfaction with AI-generated content or legal analysis
- Change in personal or professional circumstances
- Technical difficulties on the user's device or network
- Partial use of the subscription during the billing period
6. Duplicate or Erroneous Charges
In the rare event that you are charged more than once for the same transaction due to a verified technical error on our part or on Cashfree's platform, please contact us at reachus@lawtext.in within 7 days of the charge with your payment details. We will investigate and, if a duplicate charge is confirmed, reverse the duplicate amount. This is the only scenario in which a reversal may be considered, and it is not treated as a refund but as a correction of an erroneous charge.
7. Chargebacks
Filing an unjustified chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer for a transaction covered by this no-refund policy may result in:
- Immediate suspension or permanent termination of your Lawtext account
- Recovery of the disputed amount plus any associated chargeback fees
- Legal action to recover losses where applicable
We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any billing concerns before initiating a chargeback.
8. Platform Downtime
Lawtext does not offer refunds, credits, or extensions for periods of planned or unplanned platform downtime or maintenance, unless the downtime is prolonged and directly attributable to us. We strive to maintain maximum uptime and will communicate any significant outages promptly.
9. GST and Tax Implications
All subscription payments are subject to applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) as per Indian tax law. GST amounts are included in the displayed prices and are clearly shown on your tax invoices. GST paid on non-refundable transactions cannot be reclaimed through our platform.
