The appellant, Sri Abhishek B.R., a 26-year-old bachelor, filed a claim petition under Section 166 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, seeking compensation for injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident that occurred on 11.05.2013. Final Decision
The appeal is partly allowed. The total compensation is enhanced from Rs. 3,18,000 to Rs. 5,37,000. The enhanced amount shall carry interest at 7% per annum from the date of petition till deposit. The respondent insurance companies are directed to deposit the enhanced compensation amount with accrued interest within six weeks. The apportionment and disbursement shall be as per the Tribunal's order.
